Leigh Community Centre is pleased to welcome a new exhibition called ‘Acrylic Fun and Games’ on their Community Art Wall from local artist Terry Rayner from Monday 4th December.

Since retiring, Terry has returned to art after 50 years, having not painted since his school days. He found during lockdown he had a reignited passion for painting.

“I can’t define my style” says Terry “I look at a blank canvas with an idea in mind but a few hours later the canvas will be awash with something completely different. I see beauty in almost everything and have an ongoing love affair with nature and all she has to offer.”

Terry mostly uses acrylic paints for bright and vivid landscape and abstract pieces. He is a keen re-cycler and often reuses materials he finds in charity shops, such as canvases and frames.

“I am so pleased to have been given this opportunity to share my work with you all.”

The exhibition will be on display until 19th January. To find out more about Terry contact   07583 160885 or email terryrayner052@gmail.com.
