My theme for this exhibition is a celebration of life, past and present, it's simple pleasures, and the sacrifice of others influenced by the 80th anniversary of D-Day

My work for this exhibition has been inspired by my travels to France. Each cyanotype was created there, with my sister Helen, who is an established Artist in Limousin. We both made cyanotypes on an inclement weather day! Interestingly the conditions brought a ghostly element to the unique prints. I have used different mediums to enhance this and make memorys.

Peter Ruddock

In 2021 during lockdown I found I wanted to express myself as freely as possible and not be constrained by any desire to produce something that could be judged as good or bad, or even bear any resemblance to anything in real life. I have always been moved by the work of Mark Rothko, Bridget Riley and Barnett Newman, without really understanding why. So, I started experimenting using their work as a starting point.
