The Leigh-on-Sea Town Council’s Art Group is pleased to announce the latest art exhibition to take place on the community art wall at Leigh Community Centre.
The -5 Community Collective will be showcasing the work of 11 different artists from now until the end of November. The group aims to inspire the local community, whatever their skill level, to come together to create and share ideas.
The group is made up of artists of different levels of skills and experience, who want to share their knowledge and passion and promote art in the local community. They bring different mediums and diverse ideas together, often working collaboratively - sharing their individual passions and inspiring others to create.
Members of the group include; Cole Watkins, Adam Hasan, Jane Bradford, Steve Bacon, Nicola Parry, Mike Skelton, John Thompson, Dinah Case, Bronwyn Oldham, Colin Boughen and their youngest member Emily McGreadie who is just 15.
Proceeds from any sales during the exhibition will be donated to Age Concern Southend, which coincidentally is also the Town Council’s Chairman’s Charity for the year.
