Leigh-on-Sea Town Council launched their new monthly initiative supporting the arts in Leigh-on-Sea in September 2021; “The Listening Room” Poetry Nights.
Are you a budding poet, an aspiring musician, or a talented performer? Do you have a passion for sharing your creative talents with others? If so, mark your calendars because the Leigh Community Centre's Open Mic Nights are perfect place for you. Moreover, each month there is a guest artist who is opening the event.
The Listening Room is open on second Wednesday of each month from 7.30pm – 9.30pm at the Cup of Leigh Café in Leigh Community Centre. The bar is open providing refreshments, including alcohol, soft and hot drinks. Entry to the nights is by donation, on a pay what you can basis, with all profits going towards the Town Council’s Chairman’s Charity.
